stanlyt: they both get me. not because amy and rory leave, but because the Doctor has to go through losing them again and they were more like his family than really anyone else in a long time for him.
I think all the 'good bye' scenes get me... be it Rose being sucked away, Rory and Amy being zapped, Donna losing her memory... Alone thinking of those parting moments makes me tear up again (LOL)
