There are always email filters (which I'm getting ready to put one in place for plurk)

mine go straight to the spam filter and stay there.

they would add sms alerts. they'll prolly need VC for that though. hahahaha

leolaporte Yes, you can turn notifcation off by going to My Account > Privacy > and you can disable friend request notification from there.

I've never gotten emails from plurk...strange.

it's crazy how quickly "friends" seem to pile up.

OH you can turn it off, its just well hidden in the "settings"

Go to my account and switch off e-mails for new friend requests. It just turns off all e-mails.
