This is the first Mother's day in 8-10 years that I have not cried. We actively tried to conceive since 2008 to no avail. Small victories, since I've mourned not being a mother for a very long time, I am more at peace with it now for some reason. My (ex) sister in law asked me to provide a blog post for her work blog, that highlights health struggles. I changed up a blog post that I had already made about my upcoming surgery to give to her. I just saw it today, and wow...it doesn't even sound like me. It got the facts right, but none of the tone.
