This is the first Mother's day in 8-10 years that I have not cried. We actively tried to conceive since 2008 to no avail. Small victories, since I've mourned not being a mother for a very long time, I am more at peace with it now for some reason. Anywho...that being said, I want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all out there!

I appreciate it! I've come to terms with not being a mom. We stopped actively trying to conceive a year or two ago, since I honestly don't want to begin motherhood this late in life, just a decision I have made. I turn 40 in June...so I think it is why I am no longer mourning over it. I am also a KICKASS Auntie, and that has been very lovely and rewarding
I know plenty of people that are later in life mothers...and I am completely supportive and understanding. It is just not what I want at this point. I was always wishing to have children before 35 but it just never happened. Turns out, my life is pretty great the way it is...and I can focus on helping my brother with my beautiful nephews whenever I can.
