regarding that leaf on the patio, Nora was frantically scratching at the patio door so I let her out and she sniffed the leaf and was so disgusted she turned around and came right back in.

Yesterday 3
A leaf has fallen on my patio and, until it blows away, I may never open my patio door again. The way it crouches on the patio, it looks like a mouse and my cat is determined to keep her eye on it ever vigilant. I don't have the heart to let her out to sniff it and discover it's just a leaf. Besides, I'm too amused.

hahaha, I am in the Facebook group for the lake I grew up on. (It's almost totally weekenders.) One of them asked what the ice was like. Not one person told him how thick it was. They all said cold or slippery.

I forgot to tell you all the best thing about giving away my krumkake. One person recognized the cookie and was so excited. She said her mother used to make them and she had not had one since her mother died. She's in her late 70s or early 80s, I would guess. It's probably been a while. The look of rapture on her face when she bit into the cookie.

It's Lucia Day and I'm not going to Nordic Northwest for the celebration. So I made a batch of krumkake and brought it downstairs to the lobby of the apartment building and sat there and offered cookies till they were all gone.
