hahaha, I am in the Facebook group for the lake I grew up on. (It's almost totally weekenders.) One of them asked what the ice was like. Not one person told him how thick it was. They all said cold or slippery.
It's 7 inches at my greatniece's place, but that's 20 miles away and our lake has springs that make ice freeze slower in those areas.

They don't make ice houses like they used to, This has four beds that folk up and away, a range, is heated. has a fridge. Windows!!! I wonder if they can get it dark enough to see to the lake bed for spearing?
