OH!! We also listen to David Sedaris read SantaLand Diaries every year, and it's a riot. We all act it out like it's Rocky Horror.

My favorite tradition is when we Bumble the tree. At the end of Rudolph - the Bumble who is now their friend puts the star on the top of the tree, so at our house we take turns being the “bumble” and topping the tree. It’s silly but it’s fun.

Very English candy that in my family is 100% tied to christmas
My favorite Christmas tradition was that on Christmas morning, we'd all be so tired from midnight mass the night before, that breakfast would be cookies and milk. We'd open gifts while we ate, then all go take a nap before we went to my Uncle's for lasagna dinner. 
Chestnut: When I ordered Christmas Crackers from the UK, I added some Cadbury chocolates for Van that are his faves. So excited to put them in his stocking!
My siblings and I gather at my mom's on the 23rd, order pizza and watch Christmas Vacation while helping mom put together stockings for the grandkids. Since I am not going home for Christmas this year, this is the part of our various gatherings and traditions I will miss the most.
Cadbury is better than Quality streets in my opinion. I do think the QS we can get here are not as good as the ones we had in England in the past. But maybe that is the wine talking
As kids, I loved the cookies! I don't often make traditional Christmas cookies anymore, but I loved it growing up with my grandma.

I love Christmas eve we each open one gift, enjoy some hot cocoa and watch prep & landing before bed. I also love the end of the holiday when every one is in their food comas and happily looking at their gifts together.

I love the part after our big xmas feast where everyone is wearing their silly xmas cracker crowns, everyone has had a lot of wine, and we all play board games or card games until bed

My mom loved "White Christmas" and saw it more times than she even saw Sound of Music. She loved it so much that she requested viewing it one more time when she was on hospice care, so we watched it in July, knowing she wouldn't make it to Christmas that year. That was in 2017. Ever since, every Christmas my partner and I have watched it in her honour, and
it's become one of my most precious newer Christmas traditions.

isle: I watch the Muppets Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve! These days, if my kids are home, they watch it with me on Facetime.

I love everyone's traditions and they are reminding me of everything over the years.
My favourite tradition is one passed down from my mum.. on Christmas morning there is always one present at the end of the kids bed and it’s always a pair of slippers. Gives them something to unwrap first thing and I had it as a child too
On Christmas eve I make mulled wine and we get Thai fried rice with eggrolls and watch old black and white Christmas movies
Making my traditional Austrian Christmas Cookies with my mom, then coming home to watch A Muppet Christmas Carol while snuggling up to my partner.
My parents and make our own pizzas on Christmas day, loaded with whatever toppings we each like, and everyone pitches in with chopping veggies or whatever during the prep. It's a nice way to relax together after Christmas eve at my grandmother's

One small tradition is my daughter Abi always gets a pair of socks from Santa in her stocking. It's just our little thing.
Usually their silly or funny socks. This year they will be knee socks with little christmas trees on them.
going home for xmas. Since i live in new york and was working in retail and couldn't get home because I would miss a mandatory work date AND because after Covid took my job, but my parents are high risk, I couldn't go home for like five years.
My favorite holiday tradition was always using my candy ribbon. It's like a handcrafted advent calendar. I've been using it every Christmas since I was around 2 years old, and I'm 40 now.
My favorite tradition is at Christmas baking cookies with my wife and in-laws (didn't really have any traditions until 5 years ago xD)

Oh I forgot, the past couple of years my partner and I will go to wal-mart or target and get little stocking stuffers for each other and our cat. Then when we come home on Christmas Eve from my parent's house we open our stockings and if we're not too tired we'll curl up on the couch and watch a movie.
