Why do people submit photographs to so many groups (300+) on Flickr ? Is that a good thing or bad ? I only just noticed this during our blogger search.
I am trying to understand it so figure out my opinion. I don't think I like it as it seems impersonal and is not building up a directly following, at the same time I think is that what it now takes on Flickr to "get" a following. It's very confusing, how did I never notice this before?
that's a good point, they do seem to get a lot of favs, but I wonder if it's drive by favs e.g, people are just skimming (this is where if they are doing art it's great, but it's a blogger image, not sure). I am genuinely intrigued by the situation haha.
Also how do they know which group to submit to - I am aways rechecking group rules before I post, hence once I have "my known ones" and I am sure I still get it wrong some times and that's with about 30 groups for releases / houses in SL etc.
They don't know which group to submit to. They simply pick anything SL related, then spray and pray. When confronted, they are either contrite or incredibly defensive. And when they are banned for submitting to an inappropriate group, they simply roll an alt to submit more.
That's good to know all. Also this now may explain why I keep getting fashion stuff in Scarlet Creative lol!! I peer at each image thinking whaaaaa where's the house? lol
