You’re Probably Throwing Away ‘Expired’ Food That’s Totally Fine ... Do most people really do that? Just toss anything without even thinking about it?

Like "oh yea, it's been frozen solid this whole time, but I'm gonna throw it away anyway because of the number printed on it"?

I'm not wasting it unless I'm reasonably sure it would make me quite sick.

I mostly just do that with dairy stuff, but then, opening it usually tells you 'abort, abort' if its bad.

Most things, you can smell if they're bad.. I know that my fridge also has particular spots that freeze things or keep them right on the edge of freezing.. which is obvious for the fact that things are frozen

Especially the max freezer times baffle me.. Yea, for some things, there's freezer burn, especially for self-defrosting freezers.. but that's obvious, and not a safety issue anyway.

I more meant, dairy times seem to more often accurate, or even a little past safe due times.
