So when does 2015 end again? My sister, who just 2 months ago opened a new hair saloon, decided to run at and drive her hands through a glass door panel yesterday. (Warning: TMI below)

The hospital today confirmed she has tendon damage in her right hand that will need it opened up further for surgery and her left arm which took a very deep gash will also need opening back up to be repaired

Surgery is slated for early morning Thursday aka Christmas Eve. Funtimes. Never does things by halves that girl.

oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that. I know tendon injuries can be a lengthy procedure to heal :-( Wishing your sister all the best for a good recovery.

Gah! Hope it's a flawless surgery and speedy recovery. What on earth prompted her to put her hands through the glass?

She was running to get something in the house. Its an old two square frosted glass panel door, old glass so not reinforced. She just put out her hands to thrust it open and they went right through it.

crossing fingers for her. Hopefullly she'll get a full or near-full recovery. But I'm still cringing a little inside.

She did say she couldn't look at her hand. The nurse made her when they were checking for sensation and she nearly puked. I probably would have. I don't know how she stayed rational.
