I know that every one has been bothered by there FB feed lately. But the one thing that bothers me is the "Not in my back yard" garbage that people are spewing.

Sure those people need help, sure they need a non violent place to live. But not in my country or state or city.

What the holy fuck people. Who is going to help them, these people cant get help with us. Sure they want to help them but they dont want them around them. What a perverse way to care for people

I saw a Syrian man on the BBC's North West news programme. He had been brought to Liverpool with his family. He was a lovely human being.

In the UK, we can't take many Syrian folks, as we're a smaller island nation and we're struggling under Cameron's austerity cuts. I'm glad we can take some though.

I'd happily swap some of our xenophobic bigots for gentler souls like that man.

We've got a lot more room here than people admit too - Scotland and Wales especially

I think its shameful that each european country is taking in more than we are - we've the room, and maybe, just maybe, we could remember how to be compassionate as a whole.

10k, really? Germany has taken in 1.5 million just this year, France is taking in 30k right now... the problem is, our media isn't telling us that Iraq, Turkey and surrounding countries have already been

taking in refugees and they just don't have any more room, or that Europe is beginning to have the same problem - hell, we've whole cites that are more or less abandoned and lying fallow.

David Cameron is planning to cut our police force to pieces and our police already struggle to cope in big city areas. If Cameron stopped going for poorer folks and made his rich mates chip in ££...

...we'd be a lot better off. Cameron refuses to do that though. :-(

Sounds like 90% of our government - help out the rich and the rest of us are struggling to make ends meet.
The stupidity of this whole thing is, if we teat the refugees like human beings, they will want to help weed out the bad apples. If we treat them like cattle they may not be willing.
There is a very humanistic approach to this whole issue. It is simply help thy neighbor and they will help you. This is not a problem for Governments to solve, or for God to solve. It is something we all must
