Back in December I adopted a lovely kitten named Amber. She was lovely and amazing. I thought she was so goddamn precious.
She was the runt of her litter. (NOT from the one I helped care for!)
She had seven toes on each of her front paws. She used them to touch as MUCH of your face as possible.
I was in love with how awesome she was.
Well. It turns out her liver wasn't growing with her body.
She was loved and will be missed.
I decided I'm going to make a little rose garden in the back to remember her and the other pets we've lost.
I REALLY want orange roses because of their meaning.
Basically I was smiling constantly for days when she first arrived. She was such a good girl.
Orange roses do mean joy. I don't want to be sad. She lived her best life with many faces to flop on and other kittens to play with.... she even loved the big dogs.
I'm so sorry
<3 a rose garden is a lovely idea
I just need to figure out where to get about.... 48 bricks to make a ring to keep doggos from trampling on tiny rose bushes.
M has a lead already because if you mention. "I have a specific need" she just knows exactly how to find it.... but it's a drive.
I need to plan so I can do it and slowly prep for when it's warm enough to plant.
PhoenixDown: I don't have a good enough emote for how much I appreciate you.
<3 I know my current work schedule makes it difficult for us to catch up during the week but if you ever need anything just let me know
I may message you later at night. Just to catch up in general.
Sure! I am about to pass out for a post work nap but I will be around later
Oh I am so, so sorry. Orange roses sound lovely
I'm looking at what will grow well in our zone. We're lucky because there's so many varieties that can grow here.
That sounds like a lovely memory to have and encourage with the roses.
my condolences. the orange roses sound like a lovely idea
(and, if it at all helps - I'm looking into orange roses myself now. for similar reasons)
(it's such a lovely idea, thank you)
ashenkey: I'm sorry for your loss. Also you're welcome. I wanted a good thing to do during this time I'm grieving and if it can help others I am deeply gladdened.
Oh no. Losing a pet always sucks, but it's even worse when they're kittens/otherwise young.
I'mma be screwed up over it for a while
