The Chris Farley Show is one of my favorite autobiographical books. It is an entire book told in snippets by those who knew him best...
...by page 30, there are at least three stories of him exposing himself to someone or playing tricks on people in high school...
...it is a very funny read but it's also very serious as his family and friends talk about his desire to be liked...
...which led to his drug and alcohol addiction and his struggle with rehab. The humor and sadness are even enough to offset each other...
...and you finish the book feeling good.
Live From New York, this is the best biography on SNL. it's intimate and reveals some hilarious back stories that most fans don't know
I do love Kite Runner, so I will definitely check out Splended Suns! thanks! the Farley book also sounds interesting!
chasing justice and true story were both very good books
true story is by michael finkel but i dont remember the author of chasing justice
Oh, I know that book! My niece did that it in 110.03 at Newark Campus. Hehe, she didn't like it which means I probably will...
...my niece is more of a "Twilight"-"New Moon" type of person!
I think I've brought this up before but I also recommend Mark Bauerlein book, "The Dumbest Generation".
I also recommend "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok.
if you're looking for something Christmas-y, I'd recommend A Christmas Carol- one of my favorites.
I like it too. That's actually the only Dickens text I don't want to burn lol.
I've heard Lovely Bones is pretty decent. I need to read that one before I see the movie.
I am going to read some books that my brother has recently read by Malcolm Gladwell over break, "Blink," "Outliers," and "Tipping Point"
are a few of them! They sound very interesting, while they present new ideas that make you think. I know my brother and dad have discussed
several ideas from the book, which has intrigued me to read them, as well.
I'm hoping to read some more stuff by Pynchon, I really enjoyed his style and piece.
