how did Mary seem to become such a nice or willing person taking Invisible man in as she did?
Think she was just raised that way. Some people are because of what they've been through in life.
I thought maybe she was just the type of person who loved to take care of people. Like it was her contribution to society. Maybe I'm off.
some people are just natural caregivers. especially to those in need with nowhere else to go.
Nice to see someone helping the narrator in "Invisible Man"

Ellison's all about name symbolism (Trueblood, Rineheart...), so I was thinking maybe there's a connection to Mother Mary.
