Without the capacity to listen there can be little or no understanding & without understanding there can be no communication !
Listening is undervalued in human communication. If U R doing most of the talking it is unlikely That U R doing much listening !
Although verbal communication ie speaking & writing is important, the non-verbal aspect of communication should not be under estimated

So if no one speaks there would be no need to listen. Perhaps human beings might regain the art of telepathy !

Perhaps there should be a special UN ' International Listeners Day' where everyone makes a special effort to listen to others !
