i watched the video for this is america again. the thing that sticks out the most to me in that video is how the guns get treated so carefully vs. everything else being destroyed or killed etc. i don't get us gun culture

what's the protocol on this site for adding someone as a friend? do you just add someone if you wanna be their friend or do you need to get to know them first? obv. it depends a bit on the person but idk how well i'm gonna find people to talk to through following alone at the same time i wanna respect people's boundaries

i wish windows had a bunch of desktop environments you could pick from like linux. there are some but they're pretty few and far between

i'm not sure what i'm gonna do here exactly but one of the things i noticed is that i feel way more calm and ready to muse about various things on here compared to twitter. twitter's so much more all-consuming and clout-driven, even if you aren't constantly chasing it. this feels like a calmer, quieter, cozier space :>
