Looks like I'll have to rewatch House of the Dragon from the beginning. I was current up to S01E03 then work intruded. Now I've forgotten who's who.

The worst thing that can happen (well, not THE worst, but you know what I mean) is when your snow shovel breaks in the middle of shoveling your driveway in the midst of a snowstorm. Good thing we have a second one. Also, shoveling snow is hard.

One of the most ubiquitous things in Japan: Places to eat. They are everywhere, even in residential side streets. And the food is, comparatively speaking, rather cheap.

Garbage bags in Japan are not opaque. They are either clear or translucent. This is because on garbage pickup day or recycling day they need to be inspected to see if the contents conform to what are allowed to be disposed of on that day. If they do not, they are not picked up and instead are left on the pickup area and tagged with a note explaining why.
