I finally watched the Droid ep from The Mandalorian, I had watched Jessie Gender's video on it too. I must admit, I don't mind droids liking serving in an in-universe perspective, they are programmed to feel euphoric when completing their tasks, and the idea of their payment being that they are well taken care of makes kind of sense.

oh man, I was already enjoying Signal From Tolva as a cool exploration robot game, but found out it has a lorebook, and I'm living! I'm loving it, such a good robot society perspective, I'm eating good(tm)
