I wonder if I need to change my communication style or maybe I have a resting bitch face. My employees keep overjustifying themselves to me when I 100% trust their expertise and intentions... And I don't need a 10 mins explanation why they are doing what they're doing. Like, I legit don't care how it gets done because they're good at what they do.

Do I make them feel like I don't trust them? Or do I not voice that enough? Or are they trying to splain things to me? Idk?

Or do they need a "well done!"? Argh. I just need a nap.

do you tell them you trust them, or communicate in words the way you feel? sometimes if they aren't hearing these words they keep talking until they do.

and sometimes they're just anxious little beans that need you to say 'listen, youre fine' and they can move on

I do tell them good job and well done, but maybe I should explicitly say I trust your judgement 🤔

yes, you should say all these things
I’ll trust your judgment in this matter.

ZeeZuleicca: cannot hurt to tell them that you are concerned that they are not understanding how much you do trust and value them as decision makers. That way they not only get the info, but know that you are definitely feeling all the feels behind it and are concerned they are not getting that feedback enough. It goes a long way knowing your boss cares
Bribe them with donuts! 🍩🍩
