I don't have a mg history doc but I have been doing them since murder manor 2013
Was mod for parasomnia, 15s R2 and R4, and Akudamax
Do you generally go into a game with a case already planned, have a few ideas but nothing set, or leave it to chance?
I generally leave it to chance however, the murdergames of old had a requirement to write a sample case, so I did have an idea of my characters might do in those games. And I brought that back for 15s when I was mod so I would say I have written those for a good portion of my characters.
What would you most want to see in a new game? Hankering for more memory loss, Mafia, etc or something completely new?
my first and only murdergame experience, what a delight it was
...
!!!
You're just saying it like Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal Alchemist
Oh gosh bless the Case Sample reply. It was hidden because I posted my first comment at the exact same time
I would definitely like to see more murdergames/short term games that break the mold, whether it's just based on a different canon than Danganronpa such as Your Turn To Die,
or experimenting more within the Danganronpa style.... Like the Danganronpa games would often have quirky rules wherein those limitations would demand creativity from its culprits, making it easier for the main cast to solve the case
Lately it seems like things have become very simplified
And even that there may be a demand for games to follow the mold
I would probably be happier if it was a different murdergame canon than yttd because I am not really great at social games
But there's certainly plenty more that are out there
Hugs all of the parasomniacs in here!!
caineraisingproject checking in
Oh dw I remember you. I still tell people about the Grinch steaks
Maybe I should post some of my sample cases lol
Man I wanna help you compile a history but I'd probably be fuzzy on some stuff like Cartesio and Blank State
Those are all the case samples I remember doing off the top of my head
If there's one muse from a murdergame you moderated return to another murdergame you'd play and/or mod in, who would it be?
Definitely Mira from Zero Time Dilemma if we are talking about player characters that I played while modding! She happened to get rolled against her castmate Dio for the first case, and he was a new player, so I gave him the kill out of graciousness.
Would have wanted her to be killer or survivor poll lol I didn't want to make an exception for myself but there was definitely some missed potential with that
But if you mean NPC characters apped to another game.... That's a more interesting question
707 from 15 strangers would probably be the most iconic one to carry through, but he's a difficult voice so I never really wanted to play him outside of npcing
I think one of the Morris quadruplets from Parasomnia could be fun in terms of being an NPC that was well liked at the time, but I don't think anyone remembers now so it'd be just like playing an OC
Oh my god your mind is so big
Also the icon situation would be bad lol
I've always thought it would be so funny to play Sandra like that but just a bit too patchy to pull off
playing a murdergame future child is so fun though
I'm so sad that I lost the sheet of like six expressions I wanted to make Sandra
Giriko is probably the most doable but he's also fairly canon divergent and he permadied in a way that was so satisfying I would hate to undermine it
Maybe now that I have a monitor style tablet I could just recreate them and draw them myself
Eddie Kim is just
Lol
He has no business being anything other than a hyper antagonist NPC
Usurper is possible but there's baggage
I think ultimately it would have to be Coco Atarashi from 15 strangers R2
She was iconic, easy to play, and from a canon I adore
She's been your discord icon for so long. Let her shine
Lmfao just saw the rest of your comments, sorry about that
jisusushi I unfortunately don't have any murdergame future children from a pairing that happened in game. It does sound really fun though, definitely on my bucket list
Krone remains convinced that there is literally a hell and Giriko and Arachne are together there. Possibly after 800 years for Arachne to permadie
The quadruplets weren't anyone's kids, they were just four adult men who were half in the living side acting as the regain couriers, half on the dead side being antagonists turned allies
I was wondering if that misunderstanding was happening and it really made me chuckle
That was before we made a Castlevania friend.....
Sorry, I just got on the train of thought because the idea of "NPCs tied to their game but spun off as OCs" made me think of it.
No like it's a good chuckle!!
But yeah, I knew what you meant. ^^' Sorry for the confusion.
No need to apologize lol I still think it's a good thing
funniest moments you've done in murdergames?
Kira's stands before hands probably got the biggest laughs in recent years, as well as most things Eric did at any given time but the momentary Pokemon time paradox crisis Eliza gave him was definitely up there.
Honorable mention to the time my players in Parasomnia crowdfunded a stripper pole and then they all had to update "owns 1/8th of a stripper pole" on their profiles
The gag later continued with them converting an entire room in the setting to a strip club because the regain system was just that broken lol
Explanation: Kira had cut off Makima's hand and was treating it like his gf, as he does. Then this time reversal starts to undo everyone's wounds. Kira is tempted to try killing Eva to stop this process so he can keep the hand, but realize that if time reverses they will get their powers back, so he says goodbye to hand instead
Because he wants Killer Queen back
Then it turns out for some reason Makima just got her hand back without Kira losing the one he had
lengthy explanation here but TL;DR it is a style of dwrp where people put panfandom chars into a death game, typically Danganronpa inspired, and play out the whole thing with characters dying week by week
They usually last 1-2 months and have really intense cr
Actually you know what, I forgot about Camp Petoskey cause I faded from it after my case but Lemon With A Gun was mad funny too
I was playing Chloe from Miraculous and they gave her the power to disguise as anything so she was using it to lie in wait for murder. As a lemon. There was even a system where people could be each other's alibi and hang out there, so there were people witnessing Strange Lemon Behavior before it happened
Then she died because the one person who came into the kitchen alone had a bulletproof vest
