Regular reminder that Wikicollection exists, some thanks and commentary below.
Obviously we are all still working hard to add things, there are so many icons on DWRP that thankfully dwrp-icons has handled for so long, but i wanted to do something similar since I run wikicon over on IJ
I want to thank inkonic for being my regular partner on this, and also for everyone who volunteered to add their own sets. It's been very exciting to see it all grow with other people doing things. 
Anyway I wanted to remind people it exists and also acknowledge we don't have everything there but we are working on it and I hope that it is ultimately going to be very helpful for people as a version of wikicon over here.
If you have any questions/comments or want to volunteer to add your own and missed it the first time, lmk.
When we redid wikicon over on IJ, it had been 5 years without a single update, so it took a whole group of people working together to update it. Since we're starting from nothing it's a longer process. But I think it looks pretty good all things considered and I try to add a few things every day and keep up with some iconners.

it's a pleasure! I'm hoping to have a calm day soon to sit down and crush a few hours worth of entries into it while listening to a cozy podcast or something. I'm glad to be helping <3
If someone wants to add their own, I actually did a walkthrough of how I add things there and the great people who have jumped in have followed it perfectly.
I do look through the entries regularly to just fix misspellings and such. I frankly love doing this stuff it is so relaxing. Perfect for hanging out and listening to a podcast as Inky just said haha. Anyway I try to remind people it exists every once and awhile

I'm happy to do it! I know that wikicon has been a helpful resource so I just wanted to offer the same here. And dwrp has the better option for searching by character rather than just actor

how would you categorize icons made from fanworks, like fanart or doujinshi? 
would you put those under the parent series' animation/comic/etc category?

KabochaKitsune: I did both! So if you look you can see fanwork: big hero 6 and then animation: big hero 6
when people click on it they will see that it is noted as fanwork so they're not expecting canon so it's both
It was hard for me as I'm new to icon sets that way, but I think it's the one that makes the most sense.
