That part sucks!

I usually get a newer, bigger SSD and then migrate all the stuff from the old one to the new one. The SSDs usually come with a migration tool that clones the SSD. I do not need to to anything, it just boots and is as before.

All I need to do is install the new drivers for board etc.. and reenter the passwords for software that doesn't like hardware changes (iTunes etc.)

Then I unplug the old SSD and keep it as a backup.

Tillie: That is a good idea...I wasn't totally prepared to get a new PC today. Not complaining at all, the graphics are soo good compared to what it was.
