for those not following along, there was storm damage in my building just before Christmas and I had to vacate, then a pipe burst when I was about to move back, and then I had ankle surgery which meant being in a building with an elevator

I am now walking in semi-normal shoes, albeit still a bit wobbly, and am able to go up and down stairs. My apartment's a mess, but so nice to be back in it.

Welcome back to a small piece of normality.

I'm very happy for you, thats awesome news. There are few joys in life as potent or all-encompassing as a solid nap in your own bed, with your own sheets, the cold embrace of a fluffed pillow. There is no comparison that directly equates.
