also thank you in general, I've been trying imgbb and while it's a bit clunky and I haven't fully checked out how to make subfolders and organize things better, the upload + moving to the icon table generator is SO MUCH easier now, so that's amazing

altervista is such a good host for Just Files but I keep wondering if I can fling domain names I already have on it since I have a few unhorsed.

I also just switched to imgbb and so far have appreciated how easy it is to organize things. I haven't used it long enough to give any sort of in depth review. Surface level, I like the ease of sub folders, various privacy settings, and the ability to set an image to expire if you won't need it all that long. All of that free.

New TOS is "no porn" + a reiteration of the previous TOS change that a lot of us might not know about (i certainly didn't before this) that imgur doesn't allow hotlinking off the site

ie. no using imgur as imagehosting for your own website

(y'know, the thing we all use imgur for because that's what it started as)

so if your dwrp game uses imgur as the host for layout images, or your memes, or anything- look into one of the listed alternatives because dw exists in a gray space currently and imgur has blocked websites they believe to be linking "too much"

also remember that Dreamwidth has native image hosting, which might be the simplest solution for smaller amounts

clunky interface for sure, but there's something to be said for hosing on the website you're already RPing on

It disturbs me how many sites are forbidding NSFW stuff as time passes. The places where people gather are those that allow porn, and somehow they don't want to fight back against the credit card companies...

you can bulk download from your imgur account it's in account settings iirc
