I found this poor kitty in the side of the road. Her ear is all bloody so I think she got hit by a car. Took her to the humane society while I consider adoption. https://images.plurk.com/4Hsq7I1gkLHmWT226yNlVI.jpg

you can also get kitten cribs if you fear the cat going out of control/going into places it shouldn't

I’ve never heard of a kitten crib.

ELITEFIELD 2-Door Soft-Sided Dog & Cat Playpen, Navy... cage might be the better word. stuff like this; google offers more results tbh

I had taken care of a kitten last year and something like this would have helped a ton. kittens like to go everywhere they can

Since I had her so close to me, I’m waiting to see if I have an allergic reaction. If I do, then obvs can’t adopt. But if I don’t well...

oh kitty!
kitties are usually pretty chill with babies. just depends on the temperament of the cat
my sister's cat used to jump in the crib to sleep with her

Poor baby was so scared. I held her in my hand while I drove and she sat there the whole time meowing.

She then climbed up onto my shoulders, while we were at the humane society and I was checking her in

and yeah, kitties are good with babies
growing up with babyturk actually will help kitten bond

lenneths_wings: I wish I had one to try that with when I took her to the Humane Society. But I’m back home now without her trying to decide if we’re going to keep her or not.

We’re just really worried because Hobbs goes back to work in the office next week and then I return to work a week and a half later meaning that the kitten would be all by itself for almost 12 hours

maybe check back with the HS to see if there's a place that can help raise her up for a few months. might help in making sure the cat is bigger and a bit less reliant on you guys.

That’s an idea!
we bought a tiny purr doll to help Toulouse when he was a baby ( he was a week old when we got him tho)
maybe you could get a big crate (like for a big dog that would be more like a little enrichment area for kitten instead of a crate) for kitten to chill in and play in while you guys work and would fit a litter box and food/water?
especially if you have someone watching over baby turk, that way kitten has a chance of boding with babyturk more
so kitten could have a hammok and stuff and toys
