Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility. I believe it is important to make ourselves known and remind people that we are and always have been a part of society, that will never change, even if you criminalize it.

I am transgender and proud. My life has gotten so much better since coming out, and I hope that anyone on my timeline who is still questioning, an egg, or open about their gender identity - whatever that may be, feels seen today and knows that they are important and valid.
Happy TDOV folx!
I see you and am glad to have you in my life.

I might not openly advertise in public that I am trans but I never deny it if asked.

Trans people have always been here.
Trans people will always be here.
Trans people are not going anywhere.

I agree, and I’m unapologetically visible. I also never forget that being able to be visible and safe is a privilege, so I never judge those who are still closeted or choose stealth.

Totally, Prue. I wouldn't have felt nearly as safe when I still lived in Idaho.
