i'm jealous of her weight loss. and.. yea Whoopi's voice didn't hold up thru the years, for whatever reason and the other star, Wendy--well she still looks amazing, but cleverly they cut away from her during what was her solo in the film. (She didn't do her own vocals during the singing bits.)

ClaireKI77y agreed with everything! Oh, Maria is absolutely the highlight with 'My Guy' just being, like, more of the same? And 'Joyful Joyful' does kinda mimic some pop songs (Janet Jackson for instance) but its blended so seamlessly with everything else. It just fits.

cacopheny I think that's why they have some lasting value (again like prince of egypt). It doesn't try to preach overly much, or convert anyone to anything. (Ok, PoE does both a smidge but its for a specific character, so that works). Its messages are just 'hey, don't be a shithead'. Found family, sisterhood, etc etc.
