So, check me here. Am I the only white person among my FB friends who think the Crow characters in the original "Dumbo" (cartoon) version are outright racist depictions? I've been called an angry PC bully for this.

I agree with you 100%.

They are and they're part of a long tradition of such depictions in American culture. The fact that they're Disney elevates the significance.

And Disney handled this in the best way: Give the film a contextualizing preface and remove it from the kid's section. Nothing was "cancelled."

I remember when Disney would play "Song of the South" (which was even more racist) on television in my childhood, and I remember my father explaining why "Jim Crow" was considered racist.

I have a bootleg copy of that on DVD. I think it's less offensive than Gone With the Wind, but Gone With the Wind isn't for kids.

Agreed; it isn't. GWTW is only outdone by "Birth of a Nation" for racist content in a major studio film.

The Birth of a Nation stands out as being so much worse than I even expected it to be. I knew what was coming and I was still flabbergasted.

OK. So, my FB "friend" is doing the equivalent of arguing in favor of Confederate monuments, because = History. I'll be damned before I apologize.

I'm so sick of the monuments = history argument.
