Very satisfying when you do though.
Chrysler products tend to have suspension issues -- Ram Trucks, Dakota, Jeep, etc. I have a Grand Cherokee and keep an eye on things because the infamous '
'death wobble' they can have over 50mph is nightmarish. And I have a lead foot...
jeeps are notorious for it, yeah. i also have a 2005 dodge neon SRT4 ACR and it's rock solid all over. but it was also more expensive and obviously MUCH better taken care of than the magnum.
the magnum has north of 300k on the dial and it's honestly clapped out as hell. but it's also an SRT8 with a supercharger and it was shockingly cheap. so i have no grounds to complain.
I got the GC cause it was 3 grand XD
almost 250k miles and the engine and transmission are still going strong.
the engine bay of the magnum was surprisingly clean compared to the rest of the vehicle, and once i put new rubber on it, it seems insanely strong. the stock horsepower of the SRT8 wagon is 425. anf after researching the aftermarket supercharger it has, i potentially have just north of 600. lol.
it's a truly ridiculous car.
I went with the somewhat anemic (for the size of the GC) 4.0L. They last forever and the v8's that year tended to loose valve seats if they got too hot (I live in Phoenix...) Still, with just cold air intake, slightly bigger throttle body, high-flow catt& muffler she does pretty good. Gas milate is utter shit, but admittedly I tend to drive rather excitably.
Not gonna win races, but I can pass comfortably at highways speeds
GCs are great all rounder, do anything vehicles.
I really got tired of not being able to haul things, but didn't want a full size truck. (And I do occasional 4x4 stuff and camping -- I don't need a tent, I unpack the totes of stuff and sleep in the back
I like clapped out but powerful, BTW. It's fun to surprise people. I had a tornio that looked like the one in the big lebowski. It also had a 400 with a c6 and 9"rear end... big old rustbucket could move
Not so great off the line -- was too heavy and tended to just spin the tires, but hilarity was had messing with souped up Hondas on the freeway.
Oh, you guys are having a little race? K. VRROOOOM XD
well, i haven't done it, yet!
congrats on a sweet ride, I mean XD
