Her residence isn't allowing gatherings or funerals right now for obvious reasons, so the kids all decided when they were there after the original stroke to hold off on a burial

It's going to be in the spring, when things are (hopefully) less shitty and we can all have vaccines and not wear masks

and we'll all have a big party for her

I'm a mess but that's not surprising

already called Karla and told her and Kathryn, they've been incredibly understanding and supportive through this whole thing and she's immediately putting me on bereavement leave

I feel shitty pulling out on them this week especially but I am not going to be good for anything tomorrow, possibly even Wednesday

I'd gotten to accepting it in the days after the initial news came, when we were all waiting, but knowing it's coming doesn't make it hurt any less when it happens
