We just kinda pile it all in there and hope for the best.
Sometimes throw in two tab thingies if it's bad.
can you explain why I should separate them?
throwing colors/darks, especially bright ones, in with lights/whites can make the colors bleed and tint your light clothes
I'd like to know that too.
They have changed my laundry LIFE
using cold water makes it less likely to bleed, but it still can
and I will have to get some of those then, thank you

I think my method is easier since everything gets washed on cold at my place.
Did he turn something a wrong color?
hopefully not, but I won't know until the washer is done
the load he just threw in thankfully doesn't have too many bright colors
Ahh, that's never happened to me
I was just kind of distressed to turn around and realize that my entire unsorted pile of clothing was gone
if I waited to have two loads, I'd never have enough
yeah, I can understand that. my light clothes are fewer than my colors/darks
but I have a lot of brightly colored clothing and.... I like my whites white. XD
I always throw my clothes together. I have some light pink underwear as a result but i have never seen the point of separating them myself
But then i don't actually care if my clothes get dyed by other clothes
I am cheap and always wash cold anyway
that definitely would help
I’ve always separated because that’s how my mom taught me but I knew a lot of single dudes in my 20’s that lived on their own or with other dudes and just threw everything in at once
yeah, that's. probably how he did it before we met. I mean, if I'm honest, he was..... thirty..... five? four? three? when we met... (Raven does math, I was 19, he's fourteen years older than me, so yeah, 33)
and he owned pretty much all black/dark blue clothing, so
I don't really have any whites, or even lights - even underwear - so it all goes in together.
