different event this time. But it's a group that runs many different events are various times of the year. Group members consist of various designers for various events, blogger tags for different event and an 'everyone' tag. about 500 odd people in the group, including staff and such
we're expected to send our blogger packs via group notices and I saw that every single tag that is in that group has 'receive group notices' ticked. Is it wrong of me to not want to give out a bunch of freebies to 500 people instead of say a group of 30 odd bloggers?
I asked for a list of bloggers for my particular event as there was no blogger tag for it in the group because I was just going to get their names and send them packs personally and was just told to send a notice asking bloggers to contact me
the organiser always has a busy response on so I got it when I first messaged and when they said send a notecard I replied with ok thanks (within 10 seconds of their reply) and got the busy response again. It just felt like a slap in the face of not wanting to talk to a designer and just closing out as soon as possible
i think the problem is, these people don't have any real organizing skills, they just thought omg i can have people pay me to put their store in an event, and ran with it.
Plenty of events don't realize that easy access for hundreds to a creator's hard work is a surefire way to deprive bloggers of packs. Plenty of people involved don't put two and two together about the cause and effects, though
