.... have rendered it a heartbeat away from something I can no longer hide with an artfully draped throw rug any longer, plus it's uncomfortable. Been saving up & finally spotted the chair above 25% this week. SOLD! So excited, should be about a week, I'll be cruising in style
The red is fabulous, going to change the tone a bit in the area, I'm smitten.
That is a lovely, cranberry floofy chair to relax in. Nice. I like the spigot handle industrial lamp behind it too, the acorn weight on the end is rare and awesome.
I also love the nailhead trim and the button tuck back detailing on this. It makes the piece.
Max it's my rule the World chair
Including work, Oh I love those lamps there's a company here Emac and Lawton, SUPER expensive. I have two mercury lamps from them, you're right it would be perfection. Let me see if I can find a link. Yeh I like a few more masculine traits in my floofy stuff
Mercury lamps I bought in homage to my mother she had these massive chrome lamps when we were kids, she was so cool, compared to my friends homes, we had the crazy interior one. They're a nod to her, wish she was around still, I don't think she fully appreciated the impact her style had on me.
maxwell_graf: and btw wonder if your ears were burning earlier, I named dropped you at an event Inworld earlier, one that was attended by very nice people
My reading skills are off, I thought you were suggesting the lamp, I hadn't noticed it in the marketing
It was not my ears that were burning, so I really wonder now what you were saying...knowwhatimsayin?
OMG
it was urmmm highly complimentary. Hands you a tissue.
I am often forced to work on varieties of chairs, beds, floors when I travel and it became the most dreadful part of that lifestyle, main reason I decided to focus most of my work when back at home in summer: I can sit on my over expensive Aeron and regret nothing
and I believe a lot of your taste comes from visual education by your mom, I had the same with my family home
I tend to read in non acceptable positions, mostly couches because armchairs are always too small for me
the seat length usually, so all this to say as am a little envious
AliaBaroque: I used to sit on the floor cross legged at an opium style table and work Inworld, did that for years. I need more stuff now and using a desktop instead of a laptop now etc, The travel thing, brilliant Alia. Simply not on any agenda for us, practicality of my son's support needs etc. Thankfully we wriggled around the World a lot when he was ..
... younger. Large part of why I relocated also, needed a home with a tone of living somewhere exotic. Can shut down work etc wander outside and it's a place people want to be. Still envy you though, the excitement of the new, fresh. Absolutely concur re influences of Mom, really considering where she came from, a toxic void of bland she was incredible.....
it was really just to say that for how much interesting the now called "digital nomadic" lifestyle looks, for creative works I find it harder. For writing, perhaps even flat design? it's doable, but when you draw or paint I prefer a nice bigger setup you know, but I grew up studying on teh move too, so am used on packing and improvising working scenarios
I live on the sea, 20 mt from it, in a very high turistic location so I am qutie spoiled, but since it's home and grew up here I do nto appreciate it as much as people comign here to spend their holidays, am sure you udnerstand it. I am actualyl stopping slowly and decided to put roots, grab agaisnt responasbilities, possibly new dog!
You rmom must have been a delight in taste if you are the fruit of that tasteful nature
....I've always been transparent (and proud) of her influences on me. Topic change. Well the Vloggers etc make it look entrancing their format though isn't as incumbent on balancing the volumes of programs we're likely to run simultaneously, nor the impact of screen size on ease of navigation. Having said so people would be a little shocked by the tiny ....
....laptop I worked on Inworld for years, designed and created original Patron House on, I still use a trackpad almost exclusively to work. My mouse and pen-trackpad skills are coming along though. Old habits though. I do understand, I'm a little spoiled to. Need it though. Did banal for enough years to be here. New dog???
You can have my new kitty ....
....'Tank' he's a cracker, very dawg like. AND thanks for the compliment. My style has been a little inhibited Inworld by my skill set. The more handle on mesh I acquire the more exciting it gets. Really enjoying content creation again, didn't think commercial work would be so much pleasure so soon. Especially after my art sojourn. Loving it though.
All yours!
no thanks, I happily pass on cats! hhahah
it's pretty hard to paint skins on a track pad, though I find myself ind ire needs a few times hahahah
But Tank the kitty lovesssssss youuuu Alia
I'm still coming to terms with the tablet, I've dabbled on and off for years, damn I'm still struggling to use a mouse. Surreal what you can actually get used to and become quite accurate, having said so we both know programs and techniques that will never respond favourably. especially with your art...
....my flair is more organic, thus forgiving in part. Reminds me of a time when I couldn't afford a keyboard replacement and was forced to use one with wonky keys lol the good old days, not
