I really appreciate that I can vent to you lot and you guys get it. I've considered a Plurk a time or two before, but the other times it was just two or three coworkers going "oh, but what about the guy who drives for X?" (We have a lot of drivers running supplies) but today it was 5 (everybody in the break room) at once and yeah. Don't need that scene.
citygrit: oh my god "the right guy" to boot. It's irksome and up there with "but you'd be a great mom". Point blank told a coworker "I know me better than you know me, and I wouldn't."
UGH the "you'd be a great mom" comment is so much bullshit. It's such a stock phrase that people use to just anyone and they seem to think that it'll magically make someone want babies
OMG ALL OF THIS I've gotten it all. Especially the "right guy" and "great mom" bullshit. I got the "you'd make such a great mother" from someone who was a close friend at the time, and I was like WHAT THE FUCK GIVES YOU THAT IMPRESSION!?!?! That's one good thing to being over 40...people don't give me that bullshit anymore. Haven't since my mid-30s.
