But Lillie! Sweet Lillie who is afraid and passive and both afraid of watching Pokémon get hurt but afraid of people's anger...

Over the course of the game she gets confidence! She realizes she can't be so passive all the time! She stands up to her mother!

She goes out with you, even though she's not a trainer! She gets brace!

I hope this story ends with "leaves her mother as a jellyfish monster trapped forever in another dimension"

No, we win and the jellyfish leaves and I thought maybe she was dead but no she seems like she might be learning because it's Pokémon everyone has happy endings

But long story short I love Lillie and I kind of see myself in her to an extent and naturally Angela just saw her as "kind of annoying, but a little better by the end"
