working on some mesh shops, what do people look for/want when shopping for a shop in terms of interior?

neutral so you can make it your own? or should it have some personality? Either way I will do my best to make it texture swap/tint friendly etc but just wondering if I should spend time on interiors

oooh, awesome! i'd say that how modifiable it is, is the most important thing to me. it's hard to find a mesh building that's walls or windows, etc, aren't combined meshes. ><

the beauty of mesh + modifiability (is that a word? lol) similar to a prim build = a very happy me! and to answer your question more directly, i think personality is fantastic (as long as it can be modded)

ayashula great yes i will keep modifiable in mind, as much as i can. that can be really hard with mesh but will think about how to make it more possible

Aurakins: hmm i would maybe do those as separates tho that might make a prefab too specialized to only say clothing designers and not any other type of shop

i use to have some prim retail displays (tables, built ins, racks, etc) maybe will think about those as mesh for another release

bare walls, perhaps some extra matching walls that one can move around to make dividers if they want to without forcing people into enclosed spaces if they don't want that for their store>

a nice entry way that has room for advert posters (a lot of events make you put up a poster and i find i run out of wall space quickly)

I would love a build that had a defined entry space, like more fancy/detailed. And then large sections for the actual stuff.

walls that dont have windows so that things that need placed on the walls can be. Sometimes too many windows makes it difficult
modifiable and extra walls to use. a simple but nice entry way with room for basic info and signs, flat walls without beams and such that break them up unless they are moveable/removable

great thanks everyone! nimil: SanuraSnowpaw: I like the ideas of extra walls or at least textures to match and IndigoSkye: nimil: great idea about a defined entrance

Kymazing: yes of course most of the ones im working on have just one facade so i think they should have plenty of walls, but floating/extra walls like others mentioned could help a lot too

little ones like making a street would be good.

RojaLarnia: actually the first few im working on will be best for that, just some small facades and shops more for rentals and events, but I do want to try making some larger main store types too
