Has anyone ever made their own candles? Does there happen to be any candle making experts on my timeline by any chance?

I did, as a kid, had zero patience so the dipped ones were super thin

I kind of got into candle making in the last few weeks and decided it would be a great idea to make some for the family as christmas gifts but I kind of ran into a problem....

well, assuming you are using room temp glass (you didn't heat it up or cool it down, it could be that the was was too hot when you poured it, or the glass wasn't clean enough

alternatively, the glass may have been too cold

Maybe some extra moisture somewhere?

I have made them, not an expert. I can tell you when experimenting with adding herbs and potpourri to candles, don't do it.

When the wax cools it contracts and pulls away from the sides of the jar, what you can do is heat the jar slightly or make sure the wax doesn't cool too quickly

But I've never been very successful :3

I cleaned the jars first so must be a temperature pour issues. Damn that sucks. Any ideas if I can fix this? Maybe re heat to let it evenly solidify?

mishaselene: mmmm I don't think so. It looks more like it won't stick to the jar and im guessing it just shrank maybe.
