the result of her not signing this is 1) rent goes back to the non-prorated price 2) the account we share gets hit with a month to month fee of 400 3) she is still rent responsible
if she signed it 1) i could renew the lease all by myself with the prorated (lower) price 2) she could leave 3) no month to month fees for anybody
there is no benefit for her or her dad if they don't sign this
nobody can figure out why they are doing this, including the people in the leasing office who work in the industry and could have that kind of insight
literally no one can understand this
which is why i return to my conclusion that J's dad is just literally the devil
and works in mysterious, stupid ways
...I had to double check that you were you because that response so strongly reminded me of Linda
but yes i mean part of me is like, do they want me to leave because they need the cover in order to move a dead body out of her room?
so murder has been on my mind in one way or another
ugh these people are terrible
but i'm more of the punching sort in my own actions and yeah i really do want to punch them but i don't really need an assault charge to deal with rn
other things i'm dealing with: 1) getting my thesis proposal approved so i can register for credits, 2) finishing my syllabus enough to hand it in for my supervisors to look at, 3) work every day
4) i have homework to do related to an orientation thing related to the classes i'm teaching
5) surviving on a basic level
oh i guess also just keeping in touch with possible roomies too
meanwhile J doesn't have a job and is taking one chemistry course right now, to my knowledge, which she may or may not still be doing since the reason she's leaving is to transfer to another school
so it's not as if she's overly busy here and just can't do this for me
you know what my first sign that they were bad people was?
when we parted ways after i put my application in and they were like "where are you going?" and i said "oh to get the bus so i can go home" and they didn't even? consider? offering me a ride?
like hell you don't have to want to but that's sort of the common decency thing
i even mentioend i was close by so it wasn't a long bus ride. it was only later that i went "i would've offered"
this is reminding me of the buzzfeed video i watched where they took an old timey marriage test and all the man had to do to be a good guy was give orgasms, not cheat, and "be polite in private"
the bar for decency to other humans is so low, especially for grown white men, and this guy is just limboing right the fuck underneath it
