Roommate's dad took $750 from me because he paid a surety at the beginning of their lease. He paid $87 for it. Neither of them seem to understand why that is insanely upsetting for me.
Had him treat me like a child throwing a temper tantrum as I repeatedly tried to get him to explain to me why renewing the lease wasn't an option.
Because the rent price was prorated on this place, it would go up if we went month to month and I started a new lease later.
So I'm renewing the lease on my own.
New roomie can get added on when they can get here.
In the meantime, I'm not sure what this means for J since she wont' be on the new lease starting up in August. I'm willing to let her stay here until she has to leave but only if she'd pay her part of the rent
Just have to get it in writing I guess.
Otherwise they're gonna have to leave because they don't actually have their names on the lease.
I signed the roommate release form with the date she intends to leave on it sot here's that.
But ultimately me doing htis saves them money.
I asked so many times why he would want to spend that extra money but he wouldn't answer me.
Because actually it'd be the full (not prorated) rent price in addition to the fee so like....
But he wouldn't answer me.
Just kept calling me honey and saying it'd be okay and I'd find a roommate and I was just upset because it was a shock.
And like explaining how I could get a roommate like I wasn't already doing that.
ugh I'm sorry. You shouldn't have to deal with that shit
I keep blaming myself for being stupid.
It doesn't really sound like you did anything wrong.
We all trust the wrong people sometimes. That's not something to beat yourself up over.
Yeah. I'm trying to remember that and allow myself to, y'know. Just be a victim.
I'm sorry, man. You really don't deserve to be treated like this.
You are most welcome. We all need a little reminder sometimes. <3
