Does this mean the mods are all planning to quit the game after the changeover?
Either quit or take a break, yes.
Honestly I'm feeling worried about the future of the game
we've presented the options in this post
If nobody's willing to take over as mods, would you be willing to consider having an endgame instead of leaving it open to run itself?
If no one steps up and that's a preferred game consensus to give it an end game instead of a DR, then yes.
Dang 7 years. I haven't been here very long compared to some, but i personally wanna thank the mods for really working hard to make this an enjoyable shared experience.
It's REALLY, REALLY hard to run a game so no matter what happens that's a respectable run
Yeah, thank you for the years of work and planning you gave us
Absolutely. I can't really contribute much into the discussion because I'm not in the game anymore, but I have to thank you mods so much for running this fun game for so long.
It's completely understandable that there's a burnout, but I'm so glad that you all put in so much time and effort into making Smash as great as possible.
All I can really say other than that is that I'm hoping that there will be some people willing to step up and become mods because I still don't want the ride to end,
but if there is an endgame to it or if it turns into a DR game, then that's just fine too. Seven years of running this game is incredible in its own right!
If Smash was a human it'd be in second grade right now.
You guys are fantastic for keeping the game running so well for so long. You've earned a retirement
I'd be really sad with an endgame personally but man you guys have been so phenomenal
I don't think I'd want an endgame personally, not when there's so much new CR yet to follow through on from my perspective.
But I'm going to reiterate the above sentiments, thank you all for your hard work in keeping Smash going strong as long as you have.
Having played Max at SBG/Smash for about 6.5 years it's a very... strange feeling I feel reading this. But thank you for running things as you have since then.
Just as reminder, if you finalize your thoughts please put them in the post (not on plurk) so they don't get overlooked.
If you are interested in modding it is a serious time commitment. If you think you have the time to dedicate to it, PMing headmasterhand is the best way.
