Wait.... people who the terms don't apply to get to say if its offensive?

from volunteering with LGBT organizations the general rule is that you can use any identifier you want, and no one can call you that unless you give them permission to do so.

we've had volunteers refer to themselves as dykes, fags, trannies, hot tranny mess, and all manner of what would be considered slurs if they were said by straight folks. If you don't fit it, don't say it.

but no, lesbian and gay are not offensive terms. Les and lesbo are usually slang that some consider offensive, though. It really depends on who says it and who they say it to.

I was referring to the concept that all males are doms and the only dommes are lesbians, so I'm not sure what it has to do with this - maybe I'm missing something?

i made that sign. i made it because the chair was specifically made -for- the lesbian dommes.I didnt make 4 options. I made 2. One for Male Dominants, and one for Lesbian Dominants.

To just assume that I dont know males are submissive is just ridiculous.

But to say that my sign is 'offensive' for using the term 'Les Domme" is even more ridiculous.

I'm sorry I said it that way; my intention was to say that people who think that no males are subs. But I never mentioned being offended by it.

I think folks felt it was exclusionary, because they didn't realize it was only targeted towards 2 specific types of people and not suitable for use for ALL types of people

I wish people would just say "Hey Surr, can you please also make a M/m Dom and F/m Domme chairs next time too?" Cause really, I'd love to.
