Only thing is now the entire house is going to smell like honey garlic chicken for the next four hours.
that's the opposite of a problem
No it's a problem because I'm going to be tempted to gnaw on my arm until it finishes cooking. This is definitely a problem. I need that arm.
Crock pots are amazing. I got my sister-in-law that same one this year.
That looks like a nice one! My slow cooking has exploded since I bought one small enough for a single person a couple of months ago.
I kept seeing all these delicious recipes on Pinterest that I wanted to try but was disappointed when most of them required a slow cooker. So guess what I put on my Christmas list!
Actually it was on our wedding registry which I used as a Christmas list after the wedding.
slow cookers are a miracle
Slow cookers are marvelous
The trick is to turn it on, go to work and come home to the delicious smell of it done
Sharing the slow cooker love over here. And yeah, that last couple of hours when the dish starts smelling fabulous can seem verrrrry looooong
Yay!
I love my slow cooker. We mostly use ours for beef stew and roast, but I have also used it for coq au vin.

This is seriously the best damn chicken I've ever had.
People, try this recipe! And use thigh meat instead of breast meat because I think that made a difference.
It's so moist and tasty and the meat just fell off the bone.
It's the slow gentle simmering that does it. Slowcookers can make a cheap cut of meat taste expensive.
I've already bookmarked it
Though my favourite crockpot recipes are all eight hours on low
........well now I have to find my crockpot. I lost track of it during the move but I never figured out quite what to do with it. I got a book of Indian recipes for it, only to discover I couldn't get many of
the ingredients locally. but I can definitely do that one, and it looks good
Oh my goodness there are so many things you can do with a crock pot. I have a ton of recipes pinned on Pinterest. Next I'm trying out the beef stroganoff I found.
I really should try stuff. I just have no idea how to cook with one. I got it to make apple butter/pumpkin butter
they're good for that, you just don't leave the lid so that water can evaporate
doing it yourself on a stove can be very tiring because it's hard not to burn it and you have to stir all the time
That's the thing about slow cookers, they're so easy to cook with. For the most part you literally just dump in the ingredients, put on the lid and turn it on. Then you walk away and let it cook for a few hours
The recipes you find should tell you exactly what to do. This one was a bit more complicated because it required taking out the chicken once it was cooked and adding corn starch to the leftover sauce in the
crock pot and letting it cook a little longer to thicken, then preparing rice separately. But still really easy.
btw, I'm eating leftover honey chicken for lunch and it's even better the second time around.
now I really have to look for it. I have all the ingredients except sesame seeds and chicken
