My whole family loved World War Z. Very far from the book, but we enjoyed it. 8yr old watched part of it through her fingers.
It was great. Not much to hold on from the book, but still much better than I had thought.
I totally agree. In a way I'm glad they didn't attempt to be more loyal to the book, which I absolutely love.
It would have been hard to translate it to film. I liked that they kept the "essence" of the book, that was enough for me
