I killed our desktop tonight. By this I mean that I was using it and all of a sudden there is a loud pop, a spark and some really bad burny smell.
So strictly speaking it wasn't really my fault.

Probably just your power supply. Easy to fix.
Thats what Mike said! I was crying, I thought I'd busted the thing, we have another power suppy he can swap out next week.
