another radio station format flip...
latest #17
the almost 30 year "Lite FM" (light-rock 102.9) flips to country music the day after Christmas.
I don't get it...isn't country music over yet. I guess not...according to latest Arbitron, K102 beat out KQ and "the good neighbor"...
it'll be known as Buz'n @ 102.9...Today's Buz'n Country.
someone was saying that some stations that flip to all Christmas music after Thanksgiving make HUGE money. They can double their share
if you can make 4 months of revenue in 30 days, why not
if nobody listens to your station, why not change?
yes indeed, almost all major radio markets have a station that flips to all Christmas music for the ladt 4-6 weeks of each year.
the light rock format has typically had huge numbers for all-day listening. it is the station that you'll hear in office lobbies, clinics..
so were they rocking the ratings, or dying?
I would assume Love 105 and/or Kool 108 will be the alternative and benefit from Lite-FMs flip to Country music.
So where are the lobbies and clinics going for their vapid pop? other stations? playlists? XM stations? contract music services?
good question...I don't know if Pandora can be played in public/commercial spaces.
"vapid pop"... ha LOL... Nice.
