frustrated. 8th graders finished the technology assessment and didn't do near as well as I would like.

it's especially frustrating since I don't teach them and only have 7th grade for one quarter, nothing in 6th grade either.

but I'm the tech teacher! and I'm responsible for their passing/failing the tech assessment.

that would be frustrating. Who does teach them if you don't?

I'm sure my students wouldn't do well on those. I gave 6th a 10 question Excel quiz & they could actually open & use Excel to help answer

the questions & I still had students fail it.

no one teaches "technology" in 8th grade. They aren't required to take a tech class. This might change after the assessment.

It seems odd that there's no tech class but a tech assessment. Wouldn't it be better 2 do it at the start of the yr if taught in 7th?
