it takes about 6 weeks in the US, two in Costa Rica

well, I guess I should have rushed the birth certificate then. that's 7-10 days processing and only had it regular mailed. doh!

They say they're back down to 3-4 weeks on regular passports again. Do you have an old expired passport?

I've never left the country. Unless you count Puerto Rico, but I didn't need a passport then. I'm excited!

so no... not renewing or replacing a passport - this is brand new.

We got one for my daughter recently-early Nov. I think and it took about 2 weeks and we didn't expediate. We were very surprised. I didn't

realize they send in the original birth certificate. It came back the same day as the passport. *expedite

Congrats on the preso! If you travel across the border by car, I think you can still use your driver's license and birth certificate

I was going to say something similar. I thought for Canada and Mexico you can use an expired passport as well.

Took me 3 weeks last february

milobo yeah, car will not work. If it were Mexico, maybe, but Canada will take us Texans 32 hours of straight driving.
