You can keep both. They don't need to be both active. Sometimes I'm active on plurk and ignore Twitter, sometimes it's the other way around.

I update whichever one I'm in the mood to update.

Besides most of my Plurk friends don't have Twitter.. and the people I follow on Twitter don't have plurk.

Like what you've said, I could keep them both.
