you mean as a verb? Doesn't seem to, I've noticed some people using [verb] when the one they want is missing...

if you use one of the words in the list you don't have to select it you can type it as the first word. Brackets good for words not in list

brackets just add 2 extra characters, though. Not good when characters are limited.

that after using twitter & SMS 140 characters doesn't seem like such a terribly onerous limitation to have to worry about running out of spa
