Check your Alerts on the top right corner. That's where you'll find friend requests like mine.

Add a picture and that you are an educator in your profile.

This is something that I can't do without in teaching. So here are some tips:

1) get up to 50ish friends asap or you'll not understand what's going on here.

2) be sure to post 2x a day for 2 weeks, you know, giving it your best efforts and you'll be hooked.

3) Do more than just plurk about food or what time of day it is. Ask questions about tech/teaching/learning/Plurk. People are friendly here.

4) only friend educators. Sometimes you'll get an offer from a non-educator. Block them and don't feel bad about it.

5) read up on the FAQ page for more help.

Oh, and be sure to accept as friends all the people who say hi to you on my next Plurk. Or who say ANYTHING on ANY of my plurks. I have a

terrific and well-vetted PLN.
